    Hi,

Im trying to upload the library but when i do, IDE always says:

    Arduino: 1.6.8 Hourly Build 2015/12/21 03:51 (Windows 8.1), Board: “Arduino/Genuino Uno”

The library “1Sheeld-Arduino-Library-master” cannot be used.
Library names must contain only basic letters and numbers.
(ASCII only and no spaces, and it cannot start with a number)

This report would have more information with
    “Show verbose output during compilation”
    enabled in File > Preferences.

I tried to rename it but get the same error.

    Anyone else have this issue?

    I appreciate any help.

    Hi Kdups,

Have you tried downloading the library using the library manager option from Arduino IDE ?

I tried to upload using the IDE by going to sketch-upload library and selected the 1sheeld library.

No i am sorry i didn’t mean uploading the sketch i meant downloading the library itself.. but let me take another route as a solution.. Try renaming the folder “library you downloaded” from (1Sheeld-Arduino-Library) to (OneSheeld) then compile and upload the sketch ..

Thanks for the quick response. I renamed the file several times but it keeps saying:

    Arduino: 1.6.8 Hourly Build 2015/12/21 03:51 (Windows 8.1), Board: “Arduino/Genuino Uno”

The library “1Sheeld-Arduino-Library-master” cannot be used.

I want this to work. Its a cool shield.

So let’s return back to the first solution and bear with me “Thanks” ..

1- Go to the directory were you installed 1Sheeld library and then delete it.

2- Open your Arduino IDE “hopefully you must have version 1.6+ so that you can use the option”.

3- Click on sketch >> Manage libraries then in the search panel write 1Sheeld.

4- Now you can see 1Sheeld library is not installed on your device. select the version then press “Install”.

Now hopefully 1Sheeld is successfully installed on your device just to make sure close all our Arduino IDE tabs and reopen Arduino again then you are good to go 😉 .

    Hi didasniper,

Very simple after you already clicked Manage library in Arduino IDE and searched for OneSheeld library click on select version and install the latest   Library

Please let us know about your progress 😉 .
