My project is similar to the one in your video (sending Skype video from my 1Sheeld+ connected Android phone to Skype on another device) with the exception that my other device is a Mac running the Skype app. I’m using one Skype account on the phone and another account on the Mac. The Mac account is set to auto-answer video calls and does so when I manually begin a video call from my Android phone. Using the code below, I get a notification on Android Skype saying a video call is being initiated to the account name for my Mac Skype account, but that message disappears and nothing else happens. Can this problem be solved?
I am sorry that you are experiencing this issue and you are right since the last update of the Skype Android App has affected the 1Sheeld’s App permission for making the skype call automatically without this initiating message .. Yeah, it was working automatically before as in the Skype Shield Tutorial.
Sorry again 🙂 But the development team is working on this issue and once fixed I will let you know. For the meantime, You can explore the Camera Shield if it fits into your project .
Thanks for your reply. I look forward to hearing about the fix, or if you plan to support other video call apps for Android. I’ve been successfully using the Camera Shield for photos but need to send video to the Mac.
